• Not Cold or Freezing:
  Sometimes turning the thermostat up to the next highest level will start the freezer running. If the unit comes on let the freezer run for 24 hours and re-check the temperature. If the freezer does not maintain temperature a repair man may need to be called for service.
• Faulty or Noisy Compressor:
  If the compressor in your freezer is running for extended periods of time, or making noises while its running, this might mean it needs replacing. Unfortunately compressors cannot be repaired, so if you are dealing with these signs call a technician and we can provide information on repairs.
• Noisy or Inoperative Condenser Fan:
  If your condenser fan is making noise it might need to be cleaned. Dirt, debris and pet hair can accumulate and keep the fan from turning as it should. Hair and debris can be cleaned with a vacuum brush attachment. The freezer should be unplugged before cleaning is attempted. If the fan has ceased working all together this could indicate replacement is necessary.
• Dirty Coils or Evaporator Problems:
  Dust, debris and pet hair can collect on the coils preventing air flow and circulation. This can cause the freezer temperature to decrease and not maintain a correct temperature. After you have unplugged the freezer a vacuum with a brush attachment can also be used to clean the debris. If the back panel is freezing up and covered with snow the defrost system might be failing.
